Headstock: Horizontal ‘The Gibson’ logo

Neck/fingerboard: 20 fret fingerboard with pointed end and dot inlays starting at the third fret

Body: Maple back and sides

Hardware: Gold-plated metal parts, three-on-a-strip Waverly tuners, wrap-over tailpiece, ebony bridge and short bound pickguard with patent number


Notes: The top has been refinished (the remainder of the finish is original) and a three-inch section at the lower back edge has been re-glued. There is some evidence of shrinkage at the side and in an area of the upper bout.  A two-inch crack on the back has not been repaired

At first glance, the fingerboard binding (left) appears to have no black stripe. In fact, the stripe is there but is obscured by the finish  (thanks to Spencer Penn for this information).
