Year shipped: 1930

Serial number: 86343

Headstock: Horizontal ‘The Gibson' logo, replacement pearl buttoned Waverly tuners (the guitar likely had this style of tuner to begin with)

Neck/fingerboard: 19 fret fingerboard with square end. Pearloid blocks inlays beginning at 3rd fret

Body: Maple back and sides

Hardware: Gold-plated hardware including regular trapeze tailpiece. Long pickguard

Notes: “This guitar has a factory refinish,” says Tony Marcus. “It was almost certainly done in the 1930s, as the shading is the same as the Gibson made Recording King archtops from that period.”
