Neck/fingerboard: 20-fret fingerboard with pointed end, dot inlays start at the fifth fret with double dots at frets 12 and 17

Hardware: Gold-plated metal parts including engraved three-on-a-strip tuners with pearl buttons and a wrap-over tailpiece. Short pickguard

Notes: this is one of George Gruhn’s personal guitars. There is an error in Spann's Guide To Gibson where this FON is said to refer to a 1929 L-0.  He has now seen two L-5 guitarswith this FON, which dates the work order batch at about March 1929
